The short version

We collect the details you choose to give us (like your name, business name and email), we use them to respond to you and send you things you asked for, we never sell them, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. The rest of this page explains that in detail.

Who we are

FriendlyBots (ABN 38 318 691 380) builds conversational AI agents for Australian service businesses. We are based in Victoria, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can reach us any time at hello@friendlybots.com.au.

What we collect

We only collect personal information you give us directly, or that comes from your use of our site:

• Contact and enquiry details: your name, business name, business type and email address when you fill in a form, download a resource or email us.
• Correspondence: the content of messages you send us.
• Basic website analytics: aggregate, non-identifying information about how the site is used (for example page views), provided by our hosting platform.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health information) through this website, and we ask that you do not submit it through our forms.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide what you asked for (a resource, a demo, a conversation).
• To send you occasional, relevant updates about FriendlyBots, only where you have opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honour opt-outs promptly, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
• To understand which of our resources are useful, so we can improve them.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored securely on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare, and email is handled by our email service providers. Some of this infrastructure may be located outside Australia. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make our website and email work (such as hosting and email delivery), and where the law requires us to.

Our AI agents and client data

When FriendlyBots builds and operates AI agents for a client business, conversations handled by those agents are collected on behalf of that business and governed by our agreement with them and their own privacy policy. Our agents are designed to hand any clinical, urgent or sensitive matter to a human, and we do not use client conversation data for any purpose other than providing the agreed service.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@friendlybots.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the business grows. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and the current version will always be available at this address.
